A free app for Android, by Canadore College of Applied Arts and Technology.
It is the official safety app of Canadore College, an innovative university located in the southern part of Ontario. The app is integrated with the school’s security and safety systems. Students, faculty and staff will receive push notifications and alerts when they are on campus. In addition, they can receive information and access resources in the event of an emergency.
This app provides a number of services to protect the students, faculty and staff, including:
Emergency Contacts - in the event of an emergency, the app will send the user the information required to contact the correct service for the area.
PANIC BUTTON - in the event of a non-emergency concern, the app will send the user the information required to contact the correct service.
Friend Walk - sends the user’s location to the friend’s device.
Tips Reporting - multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to the school’s security.
Virtual WalkHome - if the user feels unsafe when walking on campus, they can request a Virtual WalkHome and a dispatcher on the other end will monitor their journey until they reach their destination.
Share Map with your Location - sends the user’s location to the friend’s device.
Canadore Safe - the official safety app of Canadore College.
